1975 -1980


The 1st public Taekwondo demonstration with the help of Mr. Mike, Mr. Ram, Mr. Lachman at the Gymkhana Club, Lucknow, in 1975.

On 2nd Aug. 1976, The Taekwondo Federation of India was formed. Grandmaster Jimmy R. Jagtiani was the founder President.


The first Anniversary of Taekwondo Federation of India was organized on 2nd August 1977,with a demonstration of highly techniques at K.D. Singh Babu Indoor Stadium, Lucknow.

His Excellency Mr. Bum Suk Lee, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Inaugurate the 1st Anniversary of TFI on 2nd Aug. 1977. Dr. Barnarsi Das was the Chief-guest.


Grandmaster Jimmy R. Jagtiani, received Ambassador Medal from His Excellency Mr. Bum Suk Lee, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in 1977.


Grandmaster Jimmy R. Jagtiani received 3rd Dan Black Belt Certificate from Kukkiwon on 18th Feb. 1979 with members and Grandmaster Chang Seong Dong, the Coach.

1980-85




The 1st National Taekwondo Championship was held in Bangalore, student of Grandmaster Jimmy Mr. Dinesh Kr. Singh got over-all Champion Trophy and student of Master Mohantas Mr. Manjunath Tiwari got Runner-up Trophy in 1980


Grandmaster Jimmy R. Jagtiani, President TFI conducted the 1st Black Belt Examination at K. D. Singh Babu Stadium, Lucknow on 2nd Aug. 1982


Two Indian Taekwondo players Dinesh Kr. Singh & Babu Rao, led by Master Jimmy R. Jagtiani participated first time in the 5th Asian Taekwondo Championship in Singapore, 1982.


Six Indian Taekwondo players led by Master Jimmy R. Jagtiani participated in the 6th Asian Championship in Manila, 1984. Sitting Centre Dr. Un Yong Kim, President World Federation to his left Dr. Sang Joo Lee, President Asian Taekwondo Union.


The 1st National Referee & National Instructor courses conducted by TFI at YMCA, Lucknow 2nd Aug. to 7th Aug. 1984


Grandmaster Jimmy R. Jagtiani, President TFI presented TFI’s plaque to Hon’ble Raja Bhalendra Singh, President: Indian Olympic Association (IOA) in 1984.



1985-90



 
The Indian Taekwondo Team got the best fighting Trophy in the 7th World Taekwondo Championship at Seoul in 1985

Indian Taekwondo Team participated in the 8th World Taekwondo Championship Barcelona, 1987, received best fighting Trophy.

1990-2000

2000-2005




Grandmaster Jimmy R. Jagtiani received Governor Medal, from Governor of Jincheon County, Korea Mr. Kim Kyeong Hoe in 2004.

2005-2010




Nepal medal winner 1st & India 2nd runner-up in the 2nd Goodwill International Taekwondo Championship, India 2008. Both the Team on victory stand with Grandmaster Jimmy R. Jagtiani & Javed Khan O.C. Secretary.


Coaches of the Indian Team of the 2nd International Goodwill Tkd Championship, India 2008 Mr. Raza Hussain & Mr. Anil Guar got 2nd runner-up with Smt. Komal J. Jagtiani, former Secretary General, TFI & Mr. Javed Khan O.C. Secretary and Miss Hina Habeb Jt. Secretary of the O.C.
